If only this were the case for me (#Miami). People may envy this heat, but I am crazy jealous of the crisp fall temperatures and the chances to layer pieces without breaking a sweat or two.
So instead of talking about the Miami heat, I am here to give you a glimpse of this season’s fall fashion forecast! Here are three fall fashion outerwear trends you will not be able to avoid these upcoming months! So enjoy the dreamy weather with a nice pumpkin spice latte or whatever gives you that warm, fall feeling to get you in the season’s mood.
Capes
Looks like we can all be superheroes this fall. Instead of draping your leather jacket or trench, throw a cape over to keep you cozy and comfy while still looking chic!
DAY: tight turtleneck, jeans/trousers, cape, baker boy hat, and boots
NIGHT: Blouse, leather/vinyl pants/leggings, and knee high boots!
Belted Blazers
Designer Designers are creating blazers with belts already incorporated. However, there is no need to go out and buy when you can already play with items in your closet. Elevate your favorite blazer and accentuate your curves by simply synching a belt along your waist. This is a very flattering look that is perfect for both day and night.
DAY: Slim, fitting trousers, plaid blazer, thick belt and booties
NIGHT: Oversized blazer, thick belt, tights and heeled booties.
If you want to kill two birds with one stone (a.k.a. two trends in one look), wear you favorite monogram, designer belt front and center! Not only will you be sporting the belted blazer, but also embracing that Logomania trend that is still going strong! Look at you trend setter ;).
Shearling
A huge fabric in this years fall fashion is shearling. You’ll see shearling on handbags, boots, and mostly outerwear. Shearling is extra cozy which is perfect for when the temperatures drop. The teddy bear coat was a huge success last year and has carried into this years fall fashion, which I am very happy about. I also love oversized, shearling moto jackets for the day to give that edge.
