It’s cliche, but time is flying by. I can’t believe its been a year since my high school prom. Seeing all my younger friends getting their “promprosals” makes me so happy yet feel kinda old (lol). Prom is the “night of nights” (yes, High School Musical) so here are some tips to make the night unforgettable.
Confidence & Comfort. There must be a perfect marriage between confidence and comfort. When you radiate confidence, there’s no stopping you and when you’re comfortable you can dance all night. So bring out your inner Beyoncé and #work. Your prom dress comes in second after your wedding dress. However, that doesn’t mean that you need to spend a fortune.
Plan Ahead. If you haven’t started looking for your prom dress, start NOW!! Get your nails, wax/shave, and appointments out of the way a day or two before just to make room for any inconveniences. Test your makeup in advance so you’re not experimenting the day of and run out of time. Below I’ve listed some of my favorite YouTube tutorials and my trusted make-up artist, for those of you in the South Florida area, who is amazingly talented and affordable!!
Make Memories. Have your parents, siblings, or friends take tons of pictures of you. You definitely want to have pictures to look back at and post. Clear your phone’s camera roll and make sure it is 100% charged. You can never have enough selfies.
Be safe. Hire a driver for the night with several friend, Über, etc. For a $20 Über credit use the invite code vgtec when downloading. (Click Here to Redeem)
Have fun. Surround yourself with the people that make you laugh and smile. It’s a night to remember, so spend it with those who make you happy.
